There is nothing wrong with me; I am enough. God made me the way I am for a reason, and loves being with me just the way I am. It is so important for me to just be myself, and also for you to just be yourself. God is very interested in every detail of our lives; my life and your life. We are each unique, for a reason. God knitted each of us together in our mother’s womb, we are each “fearfully and wonderfully made”, and all of our days have been planned by God (Psalm 139:13 & 16, ESV).
God can help those who struggle with shame to live life instead from the truth of how He sees us. Jesus loves each of us so much that He died for each of us; we are each so valuable. God is the One who knows all the stars by name. He made each one; He took care to make each one. He also made each one of us, and loves each of us so much. We each just need to focus on the beautiful plan that God has for each of us specifically. The Holy Spirit will lovingly guide us and empower us to do what God has planned. Jesus made a way for us to be reconciled to God, and He is our Mighty friend with us wherever we go.
Jesus will help us not to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to other people. We can be held back by wondering why we do not have the same blessings as others. The truth is that God has also got a beautiful plan for your life. He has a beautiful plan for the life of each person. There is a reason why you do not have that certain thing, even if you do not fully understand why, God is a loving Father and knows what is best for you. He knows the plans He has for you, which are to “give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV).
Sometimes we do not have something because God wants to protect us. He wants us to base our lives on Him, our rock (Psalm 18:2, ESV), and not on sinking sand. Or it could be that it is just not according to His specific purpose for us for this time. We cannot even imagine the beautiful plans God has for us. It is exciting that “no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9, ESV). We are each given gifts from the Holy Spirit “for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7, ESV). God’s beautiful plan will involve the privilege of helping others, in the unique way that He has planned for unique you. It is very important for you to just be yourself.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank-You for creating me unique, and for the beautiful plans you have for me. May Your name Jesus be glorified in my life. Have all the praise and all the glory. Please forgive me for my sins as I forgive those who sin against me. Thank-You that You give me the strength to resist temptation. I surrender my life to You again; I want to follow You and use the gifts that you have given me for Your plan for me to be fulfilled.
In Jesus name, Amen.
