“For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” (Psalm 33:4, NIV)
God is indeed faithful in all He does; the Bible records His faithfulness each and every time. There are so many Bible verses of how faithful God is, and so many testimonies of God’s faithfulness; I can only mention a few here. God’s faithfulness to previous generations, and to us today. “For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations” (Psalm 100:5. ESV).
“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” (Psalm 145:13, NIV)
We can trust the Lord; He keeps His promises.
He is our mighty God, Ruler of all, who cares deeply for each of us; and the promises in His Word for us are something we can hold onto. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV).
We can trust in His strength. “The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” (Psalm 24:8, NIV). The Name of the Lord Jesus is greater than all other names. The Lord has said “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, NIV).
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3, NIV)
God will cover you and protect you. “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” (Psalm 91:4, NLT)
We can trust God to defend us. In times when we may feel vulnerable compared to our situation.
God has been faithful to protect and defend me when I found myself in a situation where I needed it; I realised that people do not always understand me. The situation came to nothing, and God just moved me further in His plans for me. I encourage you to go straight to God, praying for His help, and let Him lead you in what to do. What was important for me, was to let God defend me instead of trying to defend myself my own way, by hiding away or trying to fight back at people. God helped me know what I needed to do; which was to forgive them, pray for them and do what I could to bless them. As Jesus taught us “pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44, NIV). God defended me, and He wants to defend you.
By trusting God to help, protect and defend you, you are trusting in His love which is unfailing (Psalm 36:7).
God loves you “with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3, NIV).
Us human beings sometimes let each other down, but God will not let you down, He “will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV).
We can bring whatever our needs are to our Father God; He wants to help us. God wants to look after you, and help you with whatever you need. He will meet all of our needs (Philippians 4:19).
God is faithful to take care of you; He loves you. You are such a blessing, and you belong to Him. We are each unique, and each of us have something beautiful and special to share with this world; the Lord fights for you (Exodus 14:14).
Prayer
Dear Father God,
Great is Your faithfulness! There is none like You! We worship You.
Thank-You for Your mercy and grace, and that we can depend on You to help us, protect us, defend us, strengthen us, and provide for all our needs. Thank-You for Your unfailing love for me; I want to be “rooted and grounded in love” (Ephesians 3:17, ESV). Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
As I trust in You, You direct my steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,” according to Your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3: 30, NIV).
All glory to You God. Thank-You.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
